Benjamin Gardner, MD

Dr. Benjamin Gardner is a compassionate and dedicated rheumatologist serving the North Dallas community. Born and raised in Dallas, Dr. Gardner brings both advanced training and a deeply personal commitment to caring for patients with autoimmune and inflammatory conditions.
He received his medical degree from The University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, followed by a residency in Internal Medicine at Baylor University Medical Center. He completed his fellowship in Rheumatology at UT Southwestern Medical Center, where he gained extensive experience treating complex rheumatic diseases at Parkland Hospital and the Dallas VA. Dr. Gardner believes the best care comes from truly listening to patients, understanding their concerns, and partnering with them to create individualized treatment plans. His patients appreciate his calm, thoughtful approach and the time he takes to answer questions and explain their options. Outside of work, Dr. Gardner enjoys spending quality time with his wife and their extended families—often over a shared meal or a good-natured game night. |

Anita Mathew, M.D

Dr. Anita Mathew M.D, is board certified in both Internal medicine and Rheumatology and is a fellow of the American College of Rheumatology (FACR).
Prior to joining Dallas Rheumatology, Dr Mathew was the Chief of the Division of Rheumatology at the Overton Brooks VA Medical Center, Shreveport, Louisiana. She was also the site Program Director of the Rheumatology Fellowship training program, where she helped train a new generation of rheumatologists. In addition to her clinical practice, Dr.Mathew is interested in clinical research and the latest treatment developments in the expanding field of Rheumatology. She is involved in research and served on the Research and Development Committee at the VA. She has published in peer reviewed journals and presented at many academic conferences. She completed her internal medicine residency at the Louisiana State University where she was also the Chief Resident. She subsequently completed her sub-specialty fellowship in Rheumatology at the Center of Excellence for Arthritis and Rheumatology in Shreveport Louisiana, where she was also the Chief Fellow in Rheumatology. Dr. Mathew has more than 10 years of clinical experience and is currently accepting new patients. Recipient of the I-CARE award for her compassionate care for veterans by the Chief of Staff of the Department of Veterans Affairs, her mission is to provide patient-centric care. Her goal as a physician is to educate patients about their condition and treatment options, and to help devise an individual treatment plan for each patient, so patients can make responsible decisions regarding their health. |
